welder/installer
Our custom fabrication company needs an experienced Welder/installer to join our team. You will assist in the fabrication of a variety of high-end custom staircases, railings, fireplaces, and glass rail systems. We’re looking for a hardworking energetic professional who enjoys meeting challenges and surpassing customer expectations. Seeking full-time candidates for Monday through Friday with overtime and Saturdays as needed.
This is not just welding, you will be assisting in the installation of stairs and railings inside and outside of houses and commercial buildings. You will also need to be able to problem solve while in the field while under little to no supervision.
Pay Rate: Depends on Experience & Ability to Pass A Weld Test
key competencies
Must have experience in welding aluminum, mild steel, & stainless steel
Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience TIG Welding
Minimum of one (1) year of experience welding in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of welding practices
Knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerancing & dimensions
Must have a clean driving record
Must be able to communicate in English (written and oral) as it relates to the job
Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, and competing demands & is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication

responsibilities & accountabilities
Perform TIG, MIG, and other types of weld based on project needs
Verify material sizes
De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
Interpret drawings to cut, notch, fit, and weld materials to proper specifications
Monitor and verify the accuracy of each job’s initial set-up and final outcome
Run a variety of equipment like forklifts, saws, rollers, grinders, CNC Plasma table and more
Communicates with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Must be willing to travel to and from job sites for sometimes a duration of time
May be required to stay overnight out of town as needed to complete a project
